Dentures

Replacing missing teeth has never been so convenient and affordable, thanks to Kuraby Dentists’ custom denture options. You can choose between a full or partial denture to restore your smile and your confidence.

Full Dentures (Plates)

A full denture is the best solution for people looking for a prosthesis that will replace all their teeth at once. Traditional full dentures are removable, sitting on top of your gums using suction to keep them in place. Lower dentures are a bit more unique, as they rely on your lips, cheeks, and tongues to keep them in the right spot. If you need to stabilise your dentures throughout the day, you can use as few as four dental implants designed to hold everything in place. In some cases, fixed hybrid dentures eliminate the need for removable dentures.

Partial Dentures

A partial denture is a removable piece you can wear if you have remaining teeth. Even if you still have several of your original teeth, you can get a prosthesis made that clips around your natural teeth, filling in the gaps and improving the overall appearance of your smile. Partial dentures are made with a metal or acrylic base, depending on how many teeth are missing. At specific points on the base, there are small extensions that clasp or wrap around the remaining teeth, using them to stabilise the partial dentures.

Daily Denture Care

To make sure your dentures fit properly, minimise the chances of oral infections, and keep your prosthesis clean, there are a few things you can do every day to maintain your dentures.
  • Remove your dentures or partial dentures every night, as sleeping in a removable prosthesis can cause unwanted side effects
  • Soak your dentures in an effervescent denture cleaning solution
  • Before putting in your dentures in the morning, use a soft toothbrush to remove loose debris, rinsing it thoroughly before putting it in your mouth.
  • Clean your gums with a soft, damp washcloth or extra-soft toothbrush.
  • Visit the team at Kuraby Dentists regularly for exams and adjustments to keep your prosthesis fitting perfectly. The occasional reline or repair can help extend the life of your dentures, so you can enjoy a brilliant smile for longer
